The Littmann CORE Digital Stethoscope provides superior acoustics, comfort and quality with up to 40x amplification (at peak frequency, versus analog mode). Hearing subtle sounds to help you diagnose is now even easier. Active noise cancellation helps cut out distracting noises common to hectic environments. It can help you listen by reducing unwanted outside background noise so you can focus on listening to what’s important: your patient and their body sounds.  You can quickly toggle between analog and amplified listening modes and use the tunable diaphragms on both sides of the double-sided chestpiece to hear high and low frequency sounds.

Connects to Eko software

Bluetooth wireless connectivity gives 3M Littmann CORE Digital Stethoscope the ability to pair with a variety of mobile devices, so you can visualise, record and save sounds at the touch of a button. The stethoscope works with Eko software on iOS and Android devices, allowing you to save and annotate 15, 30, 60 or 120-second recordings in a secure dashboard. Create a library of heart sounds to monitor the progression of a disease or for education, or even securely share your recordings with colleagues.  Further information about the Eko app is available here.

Hearing aid connectivity

The Littmann CORE stethoscope cannot pair directly with hearing aids. However, if your hearing aids are Bluetooth compatible and can connect to your phone, you can utilize the ‘Play from Headphones’ feature in the app to stream sound wirelessly into the hearing aids from the phone.  It is important that you validate with your audiologist that your hearing aids can produce the necessary frequencies to perform a diagnostic auscultation. For users that have mild hearing loss, the amplification abilities of the digital stethoscope alone may be able to help you hear more clearly. You can place stethoscope earpieces directly in ear canals or you can stream sounds with over the ear headphones via your phone and the Eko app.  Find out more information about using the Littman CORE with hearing aids here.
